An introductory short list of our members’ facilities, centers and programs associated with specific research areas is given below. Please see Members section for complete listings

Stem Cells

Centre for Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering (Mount Sinai Hospital).  Research activity is related to early embryo-derived stem cells and tissue engineering in general, and arthritis related therapies in particular. The centre's mission is to promote stem cell-related research. It is expected that the laboratories will be among the first in Canada to start research on human Embryonic Stem cells.

Embryonic Stem Cell Facility (Hospital for Sick Children).  The Mouse Embryonic Stem (ES) Cell Facility is a core facility that provides services for gene targeting experiments, including growing ES cells and feeder cells, electroporation of targeting vectors, and selection and expansion of targeted ES cell clones.

McLaughlin Centre for Molecular Medicine (MCMM Human Embryonic Stem Cell Core Training Facility). The MCMM Human Embryonic Stem Cell Core Training Facility was created to establish and maintain a high quality, well-characterized, and reliably-archived library of embryonic stem cells for distribution to a variety of researchers. Additionally, the Core Facility aims to provide investigators with expert training in the proper manipulation and handling of these cells.
